Membership and Discount Cards Terms and Conditions
These Terms are intended to supplement the information provided at the time of sign-up. In the event of any conflict, the terms communicated here shall control, unless otherwise expressly stated.
General Terms
By purchasing or enrolling in any membership, loyalty or discount tier at Southampton Playhouse (the “Playhouse”), you (the “Member”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms govern your relationship with the Playhouse and outline the rights, responsibilities, and limitations associated with participation in the membership program.
Membership in Southampton Playhouse programs and services is available to individuals who are at least fourteen (14) years of age. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian to enroll or participate. Eligibility may be subject to verification.
Certain membership tiers (e.g., Student, Senior/Disability) may require additional documentation or proof of status. Each membership is issued to an individual unless otherwise specified for multi-user tiers such as Dual, Family, or Spotlight memberships.
Unless otherwise specified in the applicable membership category, all benefits are:
Redeemable once per cardholder, per visit, per day.
Non-transferable unless the membership includes multiple cardholders.
Subject to availability and may be changed or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
Not valid in conjunction with other discounts, promotions, or offers.
Ticket and Admission Benefits
Ticket and Admission benefits may be redeemed for one (1) screening per cardholder, per visit. These benefits may not be applied to overlapping or concurrent screenings and may not be used across multiple screenings scheduled at the same or overlapping times, regardless of membership tier.
Unless otherwise noted, ticket discounts and complimentary admissions apply only to standard first-run films, defined as regularly scheduled theatrical releases presented in traditional formats.
Standard ticket tiers exclude: IMAX, IMAX 3D, 3D screenings, special events, early access titles, advanced screenings, fan event screenings, private rentals and the like.
Spotlight Members receive a 15% discount on standard IMAX, IMAX Documentary, and IMAX 3D tickets. This benefit is limited to one use per cardholder, per visit. It does not apply to IMAX special events, fan screenings, early access titles, or similar premium offerings.
Merchandise Discounts
Merchandise-related benefits may be redeemed for one (1) transaction per cardholder, per visit, per day. Discounts apply only to regularly priced items and exclude limited-edition or promotional merchandise (and the like), such as collectible cups, branded popcorn buckets, themed merchandise, and titles published by Phaidon.
Playhouse Jr. Access
Family and Spotlight members receive complimentary admission for each cardholder and up to two children (age 12 and under) to non–first-run Sunday morning Playhouse Jr. screenings.
Craft Studio activities are not included and may require a separate fee.
Birthday Admission Benefit
For tiers with this benefit, it applies to (1) complimentary admission to a standard first-run film (non-IMAX), plus one (1) complimentary medium popcorn and soda, on the day of their birthday.
Repertory Screenings
For tiers with this benefit, repertory films (i.e., classic or previously released titles) are offered at a discounted member rate of $9 per cardholder, per visit. Repertory screenings are subject to scheduling and availability.
The Playhouse will use best efforts to clearly label the classification of each screening (e.g., standard, IMAX, special event, advanced screening, repertory, or non-pass eligible) on its website, box office displays, or promotional materials to clarify benefit eligibility.
Tax Deductibility
Southampton Playhouse is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Membership contributions above the fair market value of benefits may be fully or partially tax-deductible, in accordance with IRS guidelines.
It is the responsibility of each member to consult a tax advisor to determine how the tax-deductible portion applies to their specific situation. By enrolling, the member agrees to release the Playhouse, its staff, and affiliates from any liability related to interpretations of tax deductibility.
Refunds and Cancellations
All membership sales are final. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Member ticket purchases are refundable only in accordance with the Playhouse’s general ticketing policy, as stated on the official website or at the box office.
Member Communication
Members will receive updates and announcements from the Playhouse, including the Playhouse Post newsletter and notifications about member-exclusive opportunities. Members may opt out of promotional emails at any time; however, doing so may result in delayed or missed information about time-sensitive member benefits or events.
Program Modifications
The Playhouse reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the membership program, or any individual tier, at any time. Member benefits may be changed, substituted, or discontinued with or without notice.
Limitation of Liability
The Playhouse is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use membership benefits, including but not limited to missed screenings, denied access, or benefit modifications. Total liability under these Terms is limited to a maximum of $100 per member.
