KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE PLAYHOUSE

Southampton Playhouse offers private birthday party packages that transform a trip to the movies into a one-of-a-kind celebration—complete with a full-size cinema screen, professional sound, concessions, popcorn buckets, and access to the Kalisman Family Lounge.

GROUP RATES

Planning an outing for 20 or more? We offer special group rates for many of our public screenings and events—perfect for school trips, senior groups, corporate outings, summer camps, and community organizations. Group bookings include reserved seating and can be paired with concession packages or a reception in the Kalisman Family Lounge.

How many guests can the venue accommodate?
Capacity varies by configuration. Individual auditoriums seat between 81 and 161 guests, and full-venue buyouts can accommodate 492+ guests across multiple spaces. Contact us for details on your specific event.

What's included in a rental?
Every rental includes use of the selected space(s), professional projection and sound, basic lighting, and on-site staff support. Additional services—including concessions, bar service, custom A/V setups, and live streaming—are available as add-ons.

Can I screen my own film or presentation?
Yes. Our projection systems support DCP, Blu-ray, HDMI laptop input, and 35mm film. Whether you're premiering a short film, running a corporate presentation, or hosting a watch party, we can accommodate it.

Is catering available?
The Playhouse offers curated concession packages including popcorn, snacks, and a full bar with beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. For larger events, custom food and beverage packages are available. Outside catering is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Where do guests park?
The Playhouse is located in the heart of Southampton Village with convenient street parking and nearby municipal lots. For larger events, we can provide parking guidance to share with your guests.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your desired date for the best availability, though we'll always do our best to accommodate shorter timelines.

What ages are birthday parties good for?
Our birthday screenings work great for kids of all ages—from young children through teenagers. We can help you choose a format that fits your group, whether that's an animated film for little ones, a blockbuster for tweens, or a gaming or karaoke setup for teens.

How many kids can attend a birthday party?
Our auditoriums seat between 86 and 161 guests, so there's plenty of room for the whole class—or just a smaller crew of friends. We can also set up the Kalisman Family Lounge for cake, presents, and hanging out before or after the screening.

Can we bring our own cake and decorations?
Yes—you're welcome to bring a birthday cake and basic decorations. We'll coordinate with you on setup logistics. Concession packages, including popcorn, drinks, and snacks, are also available.
